Turtles... Island Dreaming... Walking Barefoot in the Sand with a
Friend... Day Dreaming... The Story... Roses...
- Turtles...
- I met a friend
- she had a story about a turtle
- I had a story about a turtle
- they were simular stories
- turtles are slow
- and cars are big
- the cars survived
- but the turtles did not.
- no matter how slow or fast you go
- sometimes you need to stop
- to see what is in front of you
- our friendship was a turtle
- it did not survive
- we forgot to stop and look at what was in front of us...

- Searching...
- Questioning...
- Discovering...
- Learning...
- What is an island dreamer?
- Maybe dreaming of hot exotic island beaches?
- Maybe dreaming of planets in the sky far away, yet to be
discovered?
- Yet, maybe discovering the cool place down the street to
hang out and eat something new.
- Or maybe...
- ...just close your eyes and hear the sound of the sea and
wind on the shore...
- ...feel the warm wind of the ocean brush across your body
as you lay on the hot sandy beach...
- ...and have an island dream...

- A walk barefoot in the sand with a friend,
- years ago...
- while snow fell in January in a freezing Chicago winter,
back home,
- sunny on the beach,
- hunting for seashells,
- peering into the tiny elevator window of the Pink Hotel
"Xanado" on the beach where Howard Hughes
lived,
- sitting in the rain on the beach on a warm sunny day,
- eating Conche salad in the afternoon,
- dancing to the local Hip Hop at nite,
- and then enjoying the effects of Conche salad in the
nite...
- Years later... I woke up and the dream was over ...

- never ending ...

- A rose,
- so delicate,
- smells so fragrent,
- so pretty,
- but lookout, beware...
- if you quickly grab it,
- you will hurt yourself on it's thorns ...
